Holly and I had dinner with her favorite uncle (okay -- only uncle) on Tuesday nite. On Wednesday afternoon he was going to a local RV Show and invited us along. He's looking for a small trailer he can tow behind his minivan for some sightseeing across America and he invited us to go with him to the RV Show.
Holly and I had been to the Florida SuperShow in January and it's huge, but we never pass up opportunities to get out and see something so we met him there the next afternoon. It was fun to walk through a bunch of the different rigs but we'd never spent much time looking at small campers before and this was fun too.
The one I really liked for his purposes is called the "Bantam Flyer" and it's amazing how livable it is for the size. One thing I noticed too was that the dealers must be getting a lot of questions along the lines of "How much does this weigh?" now because almost every camper we saw had the weight written on a piece of paper and prominently taped up near the entry door. At the cost of gasoline these days, I can see why people would ask!
Here's a photo of the little "Bantam Flyer" and I'm hoping her uncle goes ahead with the purchase and enjoys this little camper. One thing we've noticed is that it's hard to find anyone that isn't friendly and outgoing in a campground. It must be the common thread of the RV lifestyle.
Holly has been creating a set of designs every month for Nita's ThreadNest starting with the first set released in June 2007. Those designs are now added into our Store at ATW as a set available for purchase. These are "Premier" designs... similar in quality to the Member Bonus design sets offered at ATW every month. The June release was called "Jacobean Splendor" and is available now in our store for those that aren't members of the ThreadNest. As always -- members get a NICE discount at the final step in the checkout process!
