The thrift store is a great place to shop for items to sew out designs on. Especially while I was learning I wanted to try new things without investing alot of money in to blanks. I have done several denim shirts that way. A couple dollars spent on a shirt makes it easier to be brave enough to try new things. After all the worse that could happen is I'd be looking good while mowin' the lawn!
