I picked this photo as a "weekly photo contest winner". Thanks for sharing with us rozzilyn! You've won a 3 month extension on your membership for posting this photo!

Here's a bit of the story that goes with this photo...
"I'm trying something new when I made these jackets for my dgd, I quilted them first, then made them...what do ya think?" -- rozzilyn
Thanks to all of you who post photos regularly in the photo gallery. It's hard to pick a winner every week because there's so many great ones to choose from. Members of ATW can post their photos in our photo gallery with more than 27,000 other embroidery project photos!

Larry, this is just my own private opinion: I liked it very much when you were using a random operation to choose which photos were the winners. Because that gave all of us who submitted pictures an equal footing. It didn't depend upon how "good" or "creative" or "beautiful" a project happend to be. It was equal footing at the chance for a moment in the sun. And the beautiful additon of ATW time as the prize.
I loved it. But since you are choosing the prize for the outstanding, for me, I know I'll never ever come up to those standards. I love it when those artists are recognized because their products are beautiful. But way beyond anything I'll ever be able to do.
Is there any way to do both of these? Not only for the very skilled and beautiful work but also for the average Joe like me?

Dear Betty -
The answer is YES and thanks for asking!
I have Robin do 3 random drawings on the first of every month for the photos posted and they are random and win a one year membership.
The ones I do every week were previously also done at random and for a 3-month membership, but a little while ago I started choosing photos based on content or composition or project or whatever strikes my fancy.
I think I'll just keep doing that AND add back in the random drawings too. That way everyone has a good chance to win and at the same time we have a little cometition among the photo-takers too.
Thanks for the suggestion!
