I always have trouble trying to download the freebies off you your page. My palette keeps telling me its the wrong format. I keep getting the zipfile. Please help me!

You SHOULD be getting a .zip file. Once you download the zip file then you un-zip it and inside are the designs and the color charts.
If your software says it's the "wrong format" then I wonder if you're using an old version of Palette? Maybe version 1 or version 2? The current version is 7 and some older software won't open designs that are newer than it's own version... BUT... there is a way around that too. Just download a different format like HUS and then select "IMPORT" on your software. It will bring in the HUS file and you can save it as PES.
