"I love cutaway stabilizer, but it is expensive to use on everything, so I carefully cut around my designs and save the piece with a hole in the center. When I have a bunch saved up, I cut some into pieces and sew a piece over the hole, using my sewing machine and straight stitch (thread matches the cutaway). I trim away the extra around the sewing, and I reuse these pieces for new embroideries. This works great, I have been doing this for years."
