The Busy Bee

Funny Story for this week was submitted by Grace Arnold.

This may only be funny to me, but I almost split a gut after I did it. You have to understand that I have fibromyalgia and do crazy things all the time because of fibro-fog, that fuzzy-brain malady.

A couple of years back, I had this very plain cleaning apron that I decided to spruce up a bit with embroidery, and I had just the design from Artistic ThreadWorks -- a busy bee with a bandana on her head and a scrub brush in her hands. I carefully hooped up the apron and stitched out the design, which stitched perfectly. The outline stitches were even exactly where they belonged!

I proudly unhooped the apron and admired the design and was about to pat myself on the back for a project well done when I looked down at the pockets. I burst out laughing when I discovered the pockets were on the other side. Yes, I had stitched the design on the wrong side of the apron!

Thanks for the story Grace! If you have a funny story to tell about embroidery send it to Nita@NitasPlace.com
