Travels With Andy

It's time to share another of my favorite websites with my friends here!

My sister told me about this site www.andybaird.com/travels/ a couple years ago and I've been following along ever since. The site owner Andy decided several years ago to trade in his corporate job and daily commute for the full-time RV'er lifestyle. He has really made some great improvements to his RV and it makes a great read.

One of my favorite articles is this one called "Saving The Earth At 8-MPG". Another article I found helpful was this one about installing a more accurate tank gauge. We added the same gauge and found it to be VERY helpful to really know when the tanks need to be emptied!

There are many other interesting pages on this site including ones about friends, phototography, Marie (his cat) and others. Hopefully I'll get to meet Andy in person at the 2008 Albuquerque Balloon FIesta.

Larry, Thanks so much for the link to Travels with Andy--being a motorhomer, really enjoyed reading his lifestyle. Had been to many of the places he mentioned--sparked a lot of memories (and we travel with multiple cats). Lj

Cathy Powers:

My husband and I use our camper ALOT and I love reading about the adventures you and Holly have. Thank you for the Andy info. Can't wait to read more. Keep the stories coming. I am making a quilt for our camper using all sorts of different camping related embroidery designs.....Hint, Hint :)

Hi Cathy - Thanks for letting us know. I'll be sure Holly sees your hint :-) We haven't had much in the way of "camping adventures" for several months now as we've been parked in Nita and CJ's driveway since returning from San Antonio right after Thanksgiving weekend.

We've had so much to do with preparing the ME And Thee product line that we haven't moved the camper except to drive it over to a local campground once a month and dump the tanks. That should all change in about 2 weeks when we leave for a 3 week stay in Florida. During that time Holly and Nita will go up to Atlanta for the AEC while CJ and I kick back a little and watch the waves roll in.

After the AEC we start our trip back towards Illinois. We plan on taking a week or two to make the journey as our Illinois campground doesn't open until 10 days after we leave our Florida spot. I hope to stop in Knoxville to see RNK's offices and warehouse. I also want to see Gatlinburg if while we're in the area.
