Funny Story for this week was submitted by Cindy Sanders.
I never thought I"d ever tell this to anyone, its one of the things you hate to admit you did. I embroidered a beautiful design of grapes onto dish towels for my Sister in law this summer. - the towels were a hit, she loved them - until she washed them for the first time and got a big mess in her washer. She called and asked me, if all my things self destruct after 30 days. I was dumb struck , not knowing why, and how that happened - and worried it would happen to the hundreds of things I have made, given away or sold.
Then I realized what I had done!! I was using water soluable thread in my bobbin for another project I was doing, and had forgotten to change the bobbin when I embroidered her towels. We had a great laugh, I made her a new set of towels - and a card that said they would not self destruct!! Cindy

LOL! If you have a funny story you'd like to include - send it to nita@nitasplace.com

Cindy, that sounds like something that I would do. It is something you will remember for a long time.
My latest isn't worth putting in the story section but I wanted to tell you. When my mother passed away in 2004, I got her old Morse sewing machine. Well my machine is also a old Morse but older than hers and hers does more than mine. So I got it home and the first chance I had, I set it up and decided to use it. It didn't have a needle in it so I put one in and started my project. It wouldn't sew. I had it to be cleaned and tuned up just awhile before Mom passed on so I was sure it was okay, but couldn't figure out what was going on. After two weeks of trying to figure it out I gave up and took it to my dealer to fix it. The next day he called and said I had the needle in backwards. Was my face red!!!!
