M.E. Tips: Check Before Starting

" When I begin a new design, I check my machine's information regarding time, stitch count and sewing speeds. I find that it helps me get an approximate idea of those things for a new design, especially if I might be short of time or a thread color. I also keep a list of the inch, milimeters and centimeters conversions so that I have an approximate idea of where to place something on a shirt or tote. In the hoop projects are easier, but if I don't use the fabric in the hoop, this helps me find the right spot for accuracy. "
