Funny Story for this week was submitted by Mary Lenci.
"When I embroider I'm not very selective as to where I throw thread that I cut. I usually end up dragging long strands all around my house, or going out with numerous pieces hanging off different areas of my clothing. This morning my son starting pulling off a piece of thread that was hanging from the top of my skirt. He said "Mom, you have a thread, let me get it." He grabbed it and I walked away. He kept pulling as I walked through the house until I realized he was unraveling my underwear!

this is for the funny story:
may be not so funny but Oh, too true!
I was hired to emb 25 aprions for our farmars market.
getting to the last of the aprions I realized I was out of stablizer;
rembering that when emb first came about we did not have the wonderful stablizer we have now. we used coffiee filter and paper towels.
I grabed a role of paper toweling and finished the logo along with the vinders name.
as I had been using bag master stablizer I through everything in the warsher
and wen't to bed, the next moring it looked like a snowstorm had erupted in my warsher, then I took out the aprion with the paper toweling TH TOWELING WAS STILL THERE; but rather rugged, I begain to try to pull and cut away the toweling only to realize that I had used the newer, stronger, ruffer pick uper toweling it has thred like fibers running through the toweling and those do not melt, in the warsher nor to they completely come apart.
I do not know if this is a ode to the picker upper toweling or a reminder that we now have wonderful stablizer and don's mess with anything else

I love makeing quilts one day my husband came by and saw that I had gotten a lot of cutting done but a lot of the scraps had fallen on the floor.
He said I don't think that crazy lady on TV, (Quilt in a Day), really means that you throw your extra pieces on the floor. I just had to laught as I looked around and realized it did look like I had thrown the pieces.
